Luận Walker
Born in Vietnam and raised across cultures, I understand firsthand the challenges many families in Melbourne’s West face, including finding opportunity, accessing education, and building a true sense of belonging.
Through my work in the West, I have stood alongside young people at risk of leaving school, families doing it tough, and individuals working to rebuild their lives after incarceration. My experience with Corrections Victoria and community organisations has shown me both the strengths and the gaps in our system, and too many people are still being left behind.
St Albans deserves strong, practical leadership – someone who understands the community not just through policy, but through lived experience. I am running to advocate for stronger community safety, meaningful rehabilitation programs, a fair go for all Westies, greater integrity in our electorate, and a better future for our children.
I am committed to ensuring every person in St Albans has the opportunity, support, and dignity they deserve.

About Luận
Born in Vietnam in 1978 in the aftermath of the war, Luan Walker’s early life was shaped by resilience. After losing his father at just seven years old, he was adopted in 1990 by his aunt and her Australian husband, becoming part of the Walker family.
At 12, Luan spent over two years living across Thailand, Laos and other parts of Asia while his father worked as a Country Director for World Vision International – an experience that broadened his perspective from a young age, shaping his worldview and giving him a deep understanding of different cultures and social challenges.
Luan has worked extensively with vulnerable communities, serving as a Youth at Risk Coordinator before spending five years as Senior Pastor at Richmond Vietnamese Church of Christ.
He later moved into Corrections Victoria and the GEO Group, where he supported rehabilitation and reintegration programs at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, working closely with diverse communities in pastoral care and multicultural engagement.
Luan and his wife, Donna, have three children. He remains committed to strengthening communities across Melbourne’s west.
